We are a group of individuals who believe that our community often forgets about BIPOC individuals. As a group; we wish to affirm, strengthen, and grow our BIPOC community to allow for greater understanding within the Peterborough-Nogojiwanong area.
We are aiming to create a community that, regardless of our identity, views us as equal. That we can be more than what our identity allows us to believe is attainable.
We believe that those who wish to join our movement need to believe in the same ideals. That regardless of gender expression, race, religion, or sexuality; that you hold these ideas of equality and reform of our society to be truly important.
Along with these ideas we hope to be a platform to help Black individuals, foster their ideas and to liberate us all from the harmful effects of white supremacy. This includes actions that will heal and affirm Black individuals; as well as the community of Indigenous people and other minority groups.
Time and again, racist ideas have not been cooked up from the boiling pot of ignorance and hate.
